an empty title should suffice

You said you had to see me
Told me that you need me
But there I sat, in your empty room
Lonely and defeated

I really thought you knew
That I truly need you too
And that’s what I sat wondering
Broken without you.

I waited in your chair
And your friends were all aware
How I sat alone, while you were home
Left to my own care

My cheeks were cold
no one to hold
No sweet romance no comforting trance
Or love, like I was told

You feigned a quick ‘goodbye’
But you never saw me cry
You didn’t care and were unaware
That I saw you as a lie

I came, I stayed, I left alone
Broken by your wordless stone
And now, alone, I sit and cry
Asking outloud: Why? Why? Why?
